We believe in being upfront about how Bake with Elizabeth makes money and about what our recipes can and cannot promise you. This page explains both.
Affiliate Links
Some of the links on this website are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission β at no additional cost to you. The price you pay is exactly the same as it would be if you went to the retailer directly.
We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
We may also participate in other affiliate programs from time to time, and the same rules apply to those.
Affiliate links appear inside our recipe posts and on our equipment pages, usually where we mention a pan, mixer, tool, or ingredient we actually use. Where an affiliate link appears in an article, we say so at the top of that article.
What We Recommend, and Why
We only link to products we have used ourselves in our own kitchen, or that we would happily buy. A commission never determines what we recommend. If a cheaper pan works just as well as an expensive one, we will tell you that.
If we ever recommend something we have not personally tested, we will say so clearly in the post.
Advertising
This site displays advertising served by Google AdSense and its partners. These ads help keep our recipes free to read. Advertisers do not have any influence over our recipes, our writing, or our opinions, and we do not review or endorse the products shown in ads.
For details on how advertising cookies work and how to opt out of personalized ads, please see our Privacy Policy.
Sponsored Content and Gifted Products
From time to time we may publish sponsored content, or receive a product free of charge from a brand. When that happens, we will always disclose it clearly at the top of the post, before the content.
We only work with brands whose products fit what we already bake with. Being paid or gifted never changes our honest opinion, and we will say when something did not work well for us.
Recipes, Results, and Your Kitchen
Our recipes are tested in our own kitchen, but baking depends on many things we cannot control: your oven’s real temperature, the humidity where you live, the brand and freshness of your ingredients, the size of your pans, and how you measure. Your results may differ from ours.
Please use your own judgment when baking, and follow safe food handling practices. Bake to the temperatures and times recommended by food safety guidelines, especially for anything containing eggs, dairy, or raw flour.
Allergies: it is your responsibility to check every ingredient and every product label for allergens. We cannot know your dietary needs or your medical situation. If you or anyone you are baking for has a food allergy or intolerance, verify all ingredients yourself before using any of our recipes.
Nutrition Information
Nutrition information shown with our recipes is an estimate, calculated automatically from the ingredients listed. It is provided as a courtesy and should not be treated as exact. Actual values will vary with brands, substitutions, portion sizes, and preparation. If the numbers matter to you for medical or dietary reasons, please calculate them yourself using your specific ingredients.
Not Professional Advice
Nothing on this site is medical, nutritional, or dietary advice. We are home bakers sharing recipes we love, not licensed professionals. If you have a health condition or specific dietary requirements, please talk to a qualified professional.
